WHY IS PITCH RECOGNITION HARD?
Because Pitch Recognition is not like swing mechanics. It’s not well understood and hard to properly train. However, pitch recognition is integral to hitting and creates competitive advantages.
First, it’s not VISION and it’s not VIRTUAL REALITY. Pitch recognition is “pattern recognition” training a hitter’s brain to read subtle cues about the pitcher & pitch. It starts with the pitcher’s windup, release and post-release mechanics. It ends when the pitch travels a little over half way to the plate. During this time the hitter is reading pitch trajectory and speed.

HOW DO TEAMS USE IT?
Teams create a hitting station, where your hitters can use computers, tablets or phones to do their GameSense training just like other stations. Teams also project the app on to a TV or wall and use GameSense to work on strides and swing decisions while in a stance. We’ll also teach you drills that can be done independently of a computer in the cages or bull pen sessions.
Finally and best of all…Hitters can do the training on their own, right on their phones or computers.
