I’m Coach Skul (pronounced School) and I’ve had a passion
for baseball from the moment I came out of the womb.
Growing up, I played on 2 different teams in little league and
summer baseball to get more experience. I
was a 3-year letterman at Arvada West High School, then played at Otero Junior
College, and finished my playing career at Appalachian State University. I immediately got back into baseball as a
high school assistant coach in 1996, and by 1998 I became a head varsity
coach. In 2005 I became a DII 1st
assistant coach, recruiting coordinator, hitting coach, and on game day the 3rd
base coach at Metro State College of Denver.
In 2008 I started a summer collegiate baseball team and had 30 players
come through my program that signed professional contracts. Baseball is in my blood and today I am loving
coaching my 2 son’s 11U and 13U baseball teams.
I stepped away from the game for a while when my wife Aimee
and I started 2 businesses together, so I am super excited to be part of the
gameSense team and look forward to getting back to talking baseball with
passionate, dedicated people.
You will see me (and cameos of my kids sometimes) sharing
hitting knowledge on “Tuesday Tip’s with Tommy”. Catch you there on @gamesensesports
social media pages!
